Was ist ein LED-Aluminiumprofil?

Ein LED-Aluminiumprofil – auch LED-Kanal oder LED-Strangpressprofil genannt – ist ein eloxiertes Aluminiumgehäuse mit einer Diffusorabdeckung aus Polycarbonat zur Aufnahme von LED-Streifen. Es erfüllt gleichzeitig drei Aufgaben: Es leitet Wärme vom LED-Streifen ab und unterstützt so den Lichtstromerhalt, schützt die FPCB vor Stößen und bei der Reinigung und verbindet mit seiner satinierten Abdeckung die einzelnen LEDs zu einer durchgehenden Lichtlinie ohne sichtbare Lichtpunkte. DENO-Profile nehmen LED-Streifen mit einer PCB-Breite von 5mm bis 12mm auf und sind in Längen von 0.5–4m erhältlich.

Wie wähle ich zwischen einem Einbau-, Aufbau-, Eck- oder magnetischen LED-Aluminiumprofil?

Gehen Sie von der Montagefläche aus, nicht vom LED-Streifen. Für Gipskartondecken und rahmenlose architektonische Lichtlinien eignen sich Profile mit Abdeckflansch oder Einputzprofile; für sichtbare Deckenflächen, Regalböden oder Wände ein Aufbauprofil; für Schrank- oder Garderobenkanten mit 45 Grad ein V-förmiges Profil; für Stahlregale und Vitrinen ein magnetisches Profil, das ohne Schrauben haftet. Die Tiefe richtet sich anschließend nach dem LED-Streifen: Planen Sie bei 120 LEDs/m mindestens 7mm Abstand zum Diffusor ein, bei 240 LEDs/m kann der Abstand geringer sein.

Welche LED-Streifenbreite passt in ein Aluminiumprofil?

Stimmen Sie die innere Aufnahmebreite des Profils auf die PCB-Breite ab, nicht auf die Leistung des LED-Streifens. DENO-Profile eignen sich für FPCB mit 4/5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm und 15mm Breite – ein 10mm breiter LED-Streifen benötigt eine 10mm breite Aufnahme, beispielsweise im Profil 16x13mm oder 19.1x8mm, während ein 5mm schmaler Mikro-LED-Streifen in das Miniprofil 8.89x7.79mm passt. Der LED-Streifen muss flach auf dem Profilboden aufliegen, damit das Aluminium als Kühlkörper wirken kann.

Wirkt ein LED-Aluminiumprofil als Kühlkörper?

Ja, und das ist der Hauptgrund, warum Fachplaner es vorsehen. Aluminium leitet Wärme aus der Kupfer-FPCB ab und verteilt sie entlang des Strangpressprofils. Das senkt die Sperrschichttemperatur bei leistungsstarken 24V- und 48V-Lichtlinien und schützt sowohl den Leuchtstoff als auch den Klebstoff. Höhere Profile bieten mehr Oberfläche, größere Wandstärken verbessern die Wärmeverteilung – tiefe Profile mit 20x15mm und 20x30mm sind bei Leistungen oberhalb von etwa 15W/m die passende Wahl.

Sind durch den Diffusor noch einzelne LED-Lichtpunkte sichtbar?

Die Sichtbarkeit einzelner Lichtpunkte hängt von drei Faktoren ab: dem LED-Abstand, dem Abstand zwischen LED-Streifen und Abdeckung sowie dem Transmissionsgrad der Abdeckung. Eine satinierte oder opale Abdeckung mit mindestens 7mm Abstand zum LED-Streifen kaschiert einzelne Lichtpunkte bei 120 LEDs/m aus den meisten Blickwinkeln; LED-Streifen mit 240 LEDs/m erscheinen in nahezu jedem Profil als durchgehende Lichtlinie; COB- oder SOB-Streifen leuchten bereits ab dem Einschalten ohne sichtbare Lichtpunkte. Klare Abdeckungen liefern den höchsten Lichtstrom, lassen jedoch jeden LED-Chip erkennen. Verwenden Sie diese daher für nach oben gerichtetes Licht und verdeckte Vouten.

Jedes Strangpressprofil wird als Stangenware in Längen von 0.5–4m geliefert und kann vor Ort mit einer Kappsäge zugeschnitten oder bereits auf Projektmaß zugeschnitten geliefert werden.
